The Restoration Bundle can restore lost clarity and tone using AI technology. Two versions of this new plug-in are available: dxRevive Pro and dxRevive. The former is designed for professionals, while the latter, with a reduced feature set, caters to video editors, podcasters, and content creators.

Aiming to set a new standard for audio post-production, dxRevive within the Restoration Bundle excels at removing noise, hums, and disturbances while preserving recorded dialogue. Besides eliminating unwanted noise, this plug-in enhances the remaining signal and restores its tonal balance, leading to improved audio quality and a cleaner-sounding recording.

The algorithms driving the Restoration Bundle plug-in are based on artificial neural networks and have been trained using Accentize’s custom database. This extensive collection of speech recordings from around the globe has exposed the algorithms to a broad range of languages, linguistic nuances, and accents. Consequently, dxRevive can accurately restore a wide variety of voices and pronunciations.

Processing is done locally without the need for specialist hardware or cloud-based solutions, so users don’t have to deal with uploads, downloads, or data security concerns. Accentize states that the algorithms are optimized for local processing, allowing modern machines to run several instances of the plug-in in real-time, though significant CPU resources are still required. They recommend using offline rendering processes when possible, such as AudioSuite in Pro Tools or DOP in Cubase and Nuendo, especially for larger projects. Both versions of dxRevive in the Restoration Bundle feature a simple one-knob operation, utilize the same processing and Studio Sound algorithm, and support multiple speakers, languages, and accents. The Pro version adds a Retain Character algorithm and a Spectral Focus mode, which enables users to fine-tune processing across different frequency bands, and includes ‘Restore Phone’ and ‘Restore Low-End’ presets.
